Who keeps order, who opens doors, and who is fighting for Earth's future.
Earth is at risk of losing more than its scattered population. Rogue Division is determined to prevent Cosmic Incidents and keep humanity's home world from being taken away.
Joining cosmic society brings unfamiliar technology, customs and responsibilities. The Continuum helps young species make that transition, with official peacekeepers working to prevent new opportunities from becoming disasters.
The Continuum's Earth branch faces humanity's turbulent arrival on the cosmic stage. Its cautious approach has frustrated Rogue Division, whose members believe Earth needs more decisive action.
A vast military presence across cosmic society, the Ascendancy enforces its laws and pursues its troublemakers. For Captain Unox XI, an official assignment can become a very personal emergency.
The Cosmic Commerce Federation brought Earth into an immense intergalactic economy. Galactic wallets and Gateway made distant markets and worlds accessible, and humanity began to scatter.
Terms you'll meet along the way. Social labels, technology and institutions each have their own place.
A social label
A derogatory term for someone who no longer returns to their world of origin. It describes a relationship to home, not membership in a faction.
A condition
A species is scattered when its people no longer live together in one place. Across a vast cosmos, communities can drift apart over generations.
A network
The network behind cosmic trade, translation, credits and portal travel. It connects distant civilizations through galactic wallets and the portal stations found at trade hubs.
A personal device
A personal device for using Gateway's services, including credits, translation and access to the cosmic market. For a new arrival from Earth, it opens the door to a much wider world.
